[00:00:59] Yeah. Tommy, this has been awesome. Any final thoughts here? As we wrap things up? I, I would say, you know, one of the things I do, um, with some of my clients and, and, and I would encourage listeners too, is, you know, throughout your, whatever. Whatever role you're in entrepreneur, um, sales leader, CRO doesn't matter, you know, like on one side of the list.

[00:01:23] So get a piece of paper, um, two columns, one side of the list, and this can work as an individual sales, um, a seller too, write down everything that happens in your day, that you don't have any control over. Right. So prospect then call me back then. Return emails. I get hung up on, I mean, the list goes on, on your quota.

[00:01:40] Maybe you don't, you don't decide your quota, like list everything that you might control might a few pieces. And then on the right, you might need quite a few piece of paper and then on, and then on the right side list, everything that, that you do control and I'll. Give a little bit away. I say, you know, you'll hear a bunch of things.

[00:01:56] When I do this, either in a, in a speech or when I work with individual clients, you you'll hear a bunch of things, but I, I distill it down to three things and I use the ACE of cards as a, as a reminder, your attitude, your confidence and your effort. Those are only three things you control, but in sales, how often.

[00:02:13] Of the time, 99% of the time you spend time bitching, whining, and complaining about things on the left side of the paper that you don't control, whether someone calls you back, whether peoples need to stop getting upset with their results and start getting upset with your. Because 90% of the time when you don't accomplish something, it has nothing to do with the end result.

[00:02:30] It's what did you do? Every single yeah. Ever wore your attitude, right? Or combination . Yeah. And where your confidence. Yeah. Yeah. Which all three things you control. And we, we didn't even get into confidence, but that's a, that's a whole nother show in and of itself, but that's, that's really powerful cuz you, you mentioned a word earlier that, um, confident is the number one, uh, thing that until you get to control of that ensure awareness.

[00:02:51] If you aren't aware any change in performance starts with the awareness. And if you're not aware of what you're not aware of, nothing will change. So that's like a, a little exercise that I like to take people through. And it's, it's really eye opening cuz a lot of times that. When things aren't going well, it's usually on the left hand side of the, the page where, where you're spending all your time and, and effort whining.

[00:03:14] And it's not usually on things that you all right. So now, now, now we've gotta, we gotta talk about confidence a little bit, because I I'm just thinking about people that are listening and they're gonna be upset with me if we don't go there. Um, yeah, because I think there's some people that might think, okay, I can control my effort.

[00:03:31] I can control my attitude. But how the heck do I control my confidence? Boy, this is, this is a great teaser. And I, I asked him, uh, a couple days ago if I could mention it. So I'm actually working with KD right now. Uh, Kevin Dorsey, uh, on our, on a course called the confidence seller. And we're gonna put together about 10 modules, um, and it's all on confidence.

[00:03:55] Um, it's gonna be at a low price point, so. You know, people don't even have to think, uh, twice about it, but, and I can go on and on, but it, confidence is your self talk. It's how you talk to yourself. Confidence comes from your preparation. It has nothing to do with any prior success. I could work with anyone.

[00:04:11] Who's switching careers into sales that has never sold anything before, gimme about a month. And if they work on it every single day and continue to work on it, but I can make them confident. And I don't say that from an arrogant way, but once I. Once it was shifted in my mind of, of confidence doesn't require prior success.

[00:04:26] I'm like that, that changed everything from me. A as a, as an official now as a coach. What you say to yourself and how you say it and the things you do, the inputs you're putting into your head from what you listen to, uh, on the radio is kind of an extinct thing, but the music, or are you watching news, things like that, what are you saying to yourself constantly throughout the day?

[00:04:47] What are you using as opportunities to tell yourself, what are you doing? You don't have to be a morning person, but what are you saying to start your day? What do you do before you go out? Who are you hanging out with, right? Or do you. Yeah, bingo. You know, when's the last time you audited your environment or those that you surround yourself with.

[00:05:02] I'm really big in, in the coaching that I do about the energy, right? What are the people, what are the things, what are the habits? What are the thoughts that give you energy and what are the ones that drain you? And a lot of times people have never even taken the time to sit down and go through that exercise.

[00:05:15] And that's pretty powerful to realize, wow, Colin brings up my energy. I need to spend more time with Colin or this guy's draining my energy. Why am I spending so much time with him? So, um, like I said, it's about it's 10 modules that he and I are are recording right now should be, um, out later this late summer early falls where we're what we're thinking.

[00:05:33] But, um, I, I think so long. So for so long Colin, a lot of people think that confidence is like, Comes once you reach a certain level and it's like, no, no, no confidence starts day one. If you choose, once you stop talking shit to yourself. Boom. You got confidence. right. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Yeah. Listen less and talk more is what I always say.

[00:05:52] Listen less and talk more. Start talking to yourself confidently. So cuz oftentimes, unfortunately we don't talk to ourselves. We. We talk to ourselves, but we would never talk like that to somebody else or let somebody else talk way to us ourselves. bingo. Right? Bingo. Yeah, exactly. Um, so really excited to get that out there and, and, and share that with, with the sales community, um, to, to help everybody in confidence.
