[00:00:00] My name is Colin Mitchell and welcome to sales transformation, a daily podcast with the best moments from the most respected people in the sales world. The goal of this show is to give you a daily dose weekends included in 10 minutes or less to help transform the way you sell. I hope you enjoy today's episode.

[00:00:20] And now to David to tell you what you can expect in today's episode.

[00:00:29] All right, we're on the final cut of another epic series here in sales transformation. And in this episode, Greg Colin will talk about the uncontrollable factors of losing a sale watch out. Cause Greg gives us final thoughts and puts this series to an epic close. All of these only here in sales transformation.

[00:00:53] We talked about how we're trying to solve problems or create opportunities for organizations and perhaps the product or service offering that you have in your kit bag, isn't the best to solve that problem. Isn't the best to, um, enable that company to capture that opportunity. Um, doesn't mean it's a bad product.

[00:01:15] It's just maybe developed tuned, whatever for, to address different problems with different situations. Right? So. That can certainly happen. It's outside of your control. Um, and the other cases is that, you know, because of time or constraints, there's people that you just couldn't get to that had a different perspective.

[00:01:36] Um, you weren't able to influence it, understand it message to it, and, uh, and that can cause you to lose. So sometimes even though you try the best to kind of get in front of people, You can't. Um, so I always like to say you won't always get in front of all the decision makers. Um, But you gotta try. Yeah.

[00:01:57] Right. If you're not trying, then you're just, uh, you know, you're crossing your fingers and you're hoping that, uh, hoping for success. Yeah. Rather than, Hey, I'm gonna do the best. That's not called pipeline. That's a pipe dream. there you go. You know? Um, well, you know, a lot of seller, a lot of sellers. Hey. Uh, and I'll sit there and think, Hey, I really hope this will come together.

[00:02:19] I, I, I hope my luck pays off today. Right? Yeah. And it's like, luck, luck pays off to the better player more often than it does the, the not so good player. Yeah. I mean, there's definitely an element of, of luck to it. Uh, I, I, I think, but luck alone is not gonna take you very far. Um, but you know, I, I think that there's just, yeah.

[00:02:42] I mean, as a seller, There's just too many, we're dealing with humans. Like there's just too many variables, um, to be able to, you know, guarantee outcomes, if you do everything right. It's just, it's just not possible. Um, yep. So, uh, where can people pick up the book? You know, any final thoughts as we sort of start to wrap things up here?

[00:03:06] Sure. Um, so, um, any, any major online reseller. Has the book, uh, in, uh, electronic form e-book form, uh, paperback hard copy, sir. You can get it on Amazon. You can get it on Walmart. You can get it on barn de noble. Uh, you can get it on, uh, iTunes pretty well, any place, uh, in the world. Um, but I was very, uh, gratified to see is that, um, you know, I was looking at, uh, our sales in, uh, Amazon and we sold it nine different countries.

[00:03:42] Right. And so, um, you look at it and you say, Greg, isn't this just something for Americans or north Americans. And I posted something on LinkedIn just recently. I talked about how, you know, while. Culture is still really important. The tactics of how you sell changes, uh, depending on what country in, but the strategies are largely the same, the things that you need to focus on.

[00:04:11] Um, the, the various processes are largely the same. And so it kind of, uh, validated that by seeing so many different countries or, uh, people in different countries, um, embrace the book. Yeah, that's awesome. You can also follow it on LinkedIn. Uh, there's a P three selling, uh, page, uh, there. And if you're, you know, unsure of, uh, have a look at some of the reviews we've got on Amazon and, uh, um, and, uh, encourage you to, to check it out.

[00:04:41] Yeah. We'll drop the link so everybody can check it out. And even just as a bonus here, um, The first, uh, if, if you connect with me on LinkedIn and just send me a message the first, you know, I don't know, 10 people to do that. I'll buy you a copy of the book. so there's a good guy. Yeah. So just send me, let me know you enjoyed the, the episode with Greg and you'd like a copy of the book and the first.

[00:05:05] 10 people that do so I'll buy you a copy. There you go. So hopefully you enjoy today's episode. And if you did, please write us a review on whatever your favorite podcast app platform is. It really does help us to reach more sellers to help them transform the way that they sell. And then we're always listening for your feedback.
