The goal of this show is to give you a daily dose weekends included in 10 minutes or less to help transform the way you sell. I hope you enjoy today's episode.

[00:00:20] And now to David to tell you what you can expect in today's episode.

[00:00:29] You don't have to be alone. Amy's central message. When it comes to doing the tough times is to get a partner that gets it in a business world where ups and downs are common. Go. You will definitely need someone who will listen, understand and help you get it together. So listen to more of the good stuff that Amy lays down on the table.

[00:00:48] Only here in sales transformation. It's funny because you know, my wife , my wife can look at me. Right. I've I'm, I'm a bootstrap guy, myself too. I've done it. Four times recently had an exit and uh, now doing it again and helping another team, uh, do it as well. And, uh, when I, when my mood is off a little bit, the first question my wife always asks me is.

[00:01:16] How's your pipeline looking. I'm like, you got me, not so great right now. because there is lots of ups and downs, you know, and especially as an entrepreneur, like, you know, you have a lot of things that you have to do other than just prospect and build pipeline and close deals. And hopefully you get to a point where you can outsource a lot of those, but, um, you know, in that building phase, you're still figuring a lot of things out.

[00:01:42] Like it's hard to hand things off when you. Not even quite sure how they're supposed to be done. Well, and there's something you, you you've mentioned your wife a few times. Do, is she in your business with you now? Or does, is she an entrepreneur for herself? So we actually started our first company together, uh, in 2010 and, um, still have that business.

[00:02:03] I'm not as involved in it anymore. Um, and, but now she's, you know, uh, runs our house. So we have four kids. Right. Um, but. That's a joke, but she, she, you know, she has sales background. We started our first business together, so she gets it. Um, and I obviously turn to her for advice often. Um, so she isn't like actively involved, but like a lot of the decisions that I make are heavily influenced by her.

[00:02:31] Well, and, and I'm asking about that because my husband's an entrepreneur as well. He is self-employed and I think there's something really lovely. If you're gonna do this, there's something about the support system that you surround yourself. I'm a big fan of the people that you choose to surround yourself with.

[00:02:47] It's a really big deal because on that rollercoaster ride, you don't want people when you're down or when you're up to just yes. You to death mm-hmm um, and you also don't want them to kick you. To death either. Right? So it's that fine balance of my husband will challenge the mess out of me, but he'll also lift me up off the ground when I need it the most at the same time.

[00:03:10] And it's that balance of challenging me. Uh, and there isn't anybody else that does it quite in the same way of understanding what this life is like. He doesn't understand the world that I'm in. He doesn't understand sales and he in, in the kind of ecosystem that I occupy. But he absolutely understands being an entrepreneur, small business, building numbers, goals, those kinds of things.

[00:03:37] And so, you know, when I'm trying to work through something, to your point, they know that tells like your wife is like, what's going on. You know, yeah's like, they know that tells and isn't that a beautiful gift where it's like, you have kind of that colo. In the roller coaster sort of car that you're in and you're in the front where you see it all.

[00:03:58] It's nice to have somebody right by your side. It's hard when you're riding solo and it's a, it's a lonely journey even when you're not. Um, that's why I asked. So thanks for, thanks for sharing them. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, uh, especially sounds like you and I are similar. Like we like building stuff. We like challenges, you know, the only reason.

[00:04:19] Started four different companies is cuz I get bored. you know, I like, I like, I like the tough, challenging building something from nothing phase. Um, that's the part that really energizes and excites me. Um, and so yeah, I mean my wife knows how to challenge me and also knows when I need, you know, just need some support.

[00:04:37] So it's, it's definitely helpful to have a partner that understands and, and gets it. Thanks for tuning in to today's episode. If you're enjoying the. Drop us a review on your favorite podcast platform. And we hope that you'll tune in again tomorrow as we are here for you every day, weekends included to help you transform the way you sell.
