[00:00:20] And now to David to tell you what you can expect in today's episode.

[00:00:29] From wrestling alligators to multimillion deals. Josh Wilson proved that no matter if you deal your tons, a failure, if you hustle enough, success is just around the corner. Join call in in this second part of the Josh Wilson experience. In this episode, learn how Josh reached his multimillion dollar success after years of failure, while he called and explained why podcasting is the new trend to connect and convert over here in sales transformation.

[00:00:59] I wanna dig in a little bit all, so you've done a lot of stuff clearly. uh, but I'm just curious this, I think you said 330 million in deals that you guys have put together and what period of time? Uh, about a year, so, whew. Okay. So what are these deals? How are you putting them together? Like, just break this down, cuz like, you know, you don't just go from wrestling alligators to putting 330 million worth of deals together in 12 months.

[00:01:33] yeah, no. So that's that's 20 years of failure. Okay. Yeah. And, and like get in my ass. And then I started getting traction within the last year. Okay. so that's a massive amount of failure. Uh, so I I'm a, a real estate broker mm-hmm uh, so a lot of this stuff is in the real estate game, commercial real estate.

[00:01:52] Right? So, um, I grew up on a construction site, swinging hammers with dad. My thought was, he builds it. I sell it, I got my real estate license, blah, blah, blah, 20 years later. I have a brokerage commercial brokerage. We put together deals for commercial real estate and business acquisitions. We're trying to figure out this whole thing of capital acquisition, but we're far off from that.

[00:02:12] Um, we're, we're working through that, but pretty much put together deals when people wanna buy something big, whether it's a business or real estate, right state, right. Mm-hmm and we leverage LinkedIn, we leverage podcast and that's where the majority of our stuff comes. I mean, you're a fan of podcasting.

[00:02:28] Me too. It's fun. And you meet cool people. Yeah. I mean, it's the new, it's the new way to network with people, you know? Yeah. Like who doesn't want to hop on and talk about themselves for a little while. Pretty much everybody. I mean, except for maybe a few very, very, very introverted people. Um, but uh, I mean it helps you get access.

[00:02:52] Open doors and you know, a lot, a lot of things, things that irritate me, you know, on LinkedIn is like, all these gurus will call them telling people like, oh, you gotta add value. You gotta add value. You gotta add value. And like, that's a cool concept. Yes, we get that. But nobody's telling them how right. And I have not found a better way to add value to somebody than to like invite 'em on a show.

[00:03:16] You know, be curious, just actually like ask some good questions, learn a little bit about them, give them a voice on your platform, create some killer content that makes them, you know, lifts them up that you can share across multiple platforms. Like. Tell me a better way to add value for somebody and build a relationship based on collaborating and adding value from day one.

[00:03:42] Yeah. Nah, it's great. And you guys have built a, an incredible platform, an incredible show, an incredible, uh, service that you offered to the community and it's just like, yeah, you could cold call people all day long in a phone book and, and have a great conversion rate at like seven. Right. Or 10%, you're like, oh, you crushed it.

[00:04:01] Or you could contact the same people with a message on LinkedIn and be like, Hey, would you like to come on my podcast show? I have the top 5%, you know, popular show on, fill in the blank. And I have 20 something thousand followers on LinkedIn. I would love for them to hear your message about fill in the blank.

[00:04:20] What's what's gonna have a better conversion rate. right. I mean, to be fair, I'm one of those weirdos that still just loves cold calling. So, uh, I actually cold call still regularly. Uh, do you really? Yeah, man, gotta keep, gotta keep it sharp. Gotta keep it sharp. Um, there's a lot of people that are like, oh, you know, Never make a cold call again, do this.

[00:04:43] And I'm like, why would you wanna do that? Like I enjoy, I think it's, it's kind of like the Gary V at the garage sale, you know? Yeah. He enjoys like the hunt, uh, for me, it's that way, like, you know, typically I'll cold call people. I, and I've been doing this for years, you know, I've built, this is the fourth company, you know, three have been successful, you know, seven figure recently had an.

[00:05:04] Um, one failed, but it was like a quick start, quick, like fail. So it wasn't too painful. Um, uh, but, uh, I, I have always made cold calls in, in all of those, uh, companies, um, in a lot of cases, you know, I just, I've never said, Hey, this is the CEO or the founder. Like, I was just like, you know, I just act like a, you know, average sales dude.

[00:05:26] Um, because like, you know, I. Enjoy, you know, building rapport and trust and like working and building a development relationship and like getting somebody interested and intrigued in whatever it is that I'm selling. Thanks for tuning in to today's episode. If you're enjoying the show, drop us a review on your favorite podcast platform, and we hope that you'll tune in again tomorrow as we are here for you every day, weekends included to help you transform the way you sell.
