[00:00:00] In the world of sales, you either sink or swim or breakthrough to the next level. My name's Colin Mitchell. And this is sales transformation, a new kind of sales show designed to bring you through the epic life-changing moments of elite sellers. So you can experience your own sales transformation.

[00:00:29] Hey, before we start today's episode, I wanted to bring you in on the best kept secret in B2B sales. If you're serious about social selling and your only strategy is cold DMS through LinkedIn, you're missing the mark big time. Learn how I fully manage revenue generating podcasts can change your life and your pipeline@saleschasm.com.

[00:00:55] All right. Welcome to another episode of sales transformation. Today, I'm going to talk about something that every seller is familiar with. And what I'm talking about is rejection. Now I've talked to a lot of people. I've interviewed tons of top sellers and. There's a common theme in a lot of successful sellers or even entrepreneurs in their story.

[00:01:21] Typically in some point of their professional journey or their sales journey, they have some sort of job where they're met with dealing with a lot of objections. And they learn how to deal with that and push through and persevere. And as a seller, we deal with a lot of it, a lot of rejection, a lot of objections, right.

[00:01:45] Which are a part of the job. But you know, a lot of hearing, no often even the best sellers out there, uh, hear no more than they hear yet. And sometimes we don't even know why people said no, because they're not even willing to give feedback, which if you're not doing that, I highly recommend that you start asking for feedback from people that have told you no, because you might learn something.

[00:02:09] Um, so the important thing here with dealing with rejection or people telling, you know, as a seller, uh, Is to not make it personal. Don't tie your self worth to why somebody said no or rejected you. Uh, it can really. Affect you in a negative way personally, professionally. Um, you know, if you choose to take that personally, it's going to roll over into your next, you know, cold calling block, your nest discovery, call your next demo or your next proposal call.

[00:02:46] Um, so the key thing is here to remember, even if you do absolutely everything right. You still might get a no and they're not rejecting you specifically. It's not that you're not good enough or your product's not good enough. Your service not going to, they might just have a good reason for saying no. Or they might just not fully understand the value that you are trying to provide.

[00:03:12] So the takeaway here is as a seller, you're going to hear no a lot and make sure you don't. Personal. If you enjoyed today's episode, please write a review, share the show with your friends. I'm always listening for feedback.
