[00:00:55] All right. Welcome to another episode of sales transformation. Today. I want to talk about something that might be on a map on the mind of a lot of sellers and a lot of sales leaders. It was end of month, end of quarter, or now into the new quarter. Some of you might've hit quota. Some of you might know.

[00:01:33] But what I want to get into today is whether you hit your quota or not. It's important to remember that you are not sure number. This was something that I struggled with for many years. Early on in sales. If I had a good month, I felt really good. If I had a bad month, I felt horrible and it can even still creep up for me, uh, still to this day.

[00:01:54] Um, and it's just a really important thing to remind yourself that you are not your number, your self-worth is not tied to whether you hit your quota. Now, if you didn't hit your quota, what can you do better? Well, focus on building pipeline. Most sellers think that they have a closing problem and the reality is they have a pipeline problem in a lot of cases, sellers really need to have three to.

[00:02:22] Five times as much pipeline as they do in order to hit the targets that they have. Now, you need to let go of the things that you can't control. You cannot control. If they sign the contract or pay to get started, they may kick it down. They may kick it down the curb. They may do absolutely nothing. They could even go with somebody else and that can happen.

[00:02:44] Even if you do everything right. So you got to let go, and you've got to focus on the things that you can control. You can control how much activity and effort that you've put in today. You can control what types of prospects you target. You can control being consistent every day. You can control investing in yourself personally, so that when you are in your role, you crush it.

[00:03:08] Okay. So start today by taking care of yourself, showing up and focusing on the things that you can control and letting go of the things that you can't. I hope that's helpful. And just remember that there's even if you do everything right. You can still lose in sales and the most elite sellers lose more than they win, whether they wanna admit it or not, or whether they're posting about it on social media or not.
