[00:00:55] Uh, right. Welcome to another episode of sales transformation. Today's going to be a solo episode where I'm going to talk about some storytelling basics for sellers telling stories. The power of storytelling is extremely powerful. And if you can learn how to use storytelling in your sales process with your prospects, uh, it can do.
[00:01:17] Some pretty incredible things for you. Um, prospects, it really helps humanize your, your, your sales process. Um, and people enjoy stories, right? Or they wouldn't watch TV. They wouldn't go to movies. Um, stories are entertaining. It helps them connect with what you're saying at a deeper level. It helps them actually remember what you're saying, because in a lot of times, people don't remember.
[00:01:42] What you say they remember a little bit less of what you do, but they really don't forget how you make them feel and you can make them feel different and you can stand out in a big way by leveraging storytelling when you're interacting with your prospect. So I want to give you just a few basic things that you can do to help with yourself with using storytelling in your sales process.
[00:02:03] So just have an idea who is the character? What are the main challenges? What's the big trigger event that happened and what is the outcome? Okay. That's kind of how you can think about telling a story. Now you might tell a story about a prospect that you've worked with in the past. Um, make sure you make the customer or the prospect in they're the hero don't make you yourself or your product, the hero, because they're less likely to actually believe your story, uh, in that case.
[00:02:30] So make sure you know what it is that you want them to take away. From that story when you're integrating that into your talk track. Okay. Um, if you get your prospect's attention and they're asking questions and you can tell that they're engaged, make sure to hold it don't want a big rant. Maybe throw them a question, maybe, um, you know, don't stick on one point for too long.
[00:02:51] Uh, make sure that you don't lose them. Okay. That's a really, really, really important piece and personalize it as much as, as you possibly can. Okay. Um, and practice it. So you, you definitely want to practice your story. You might want to get a colleague or, uh, somebody on your team or just anybody really so that you don't miss over any details and you get comfortable.
[00:03:14] Telling that story, uh, it's going to help you tremendously. So these are just some basics to help you get started with storytelling in your sales process. Uh, hope this was helpful.
