Collin: "Some people will be willing to talk to you, some people will be willing to work with you, some people will be willing to take a meeting, and others won't. And it has, sometimes nothing to do with you, or how you handled the situation. It's really beyond your control."
Collin: “Really focus on nailing the experience in every interaction with your prospects, with your buyers throughout the entire sales process and this will serve you extremely well.”
Collin: "Something that you may have to remind yourself constantly but it's extremely important: make sure you're prioritizing your revenue generating activities in any sales role that you have."

[00:00:00] In the world of sales, you either sink or swim or breakthrough to the next level. My name's Colin Mitchell, and this is sales transformation, a new kind of sales show designed to bring you through the epic life-changing moments of elite sellers. So you can experience your own sales transformation.
[00:00:24] Our right welcome to another episode of sales transformation. Today is a solo episode where I want to give you three things that I believe. Every seller should know. These are three things that I learned early on in sales that are still relevant, that are still important. And that I wish I would have maybe learned a little bit earlier.
[00:00:46] So I want to share them with you. Uh, the first thing that I want to talk about is getting comfortable with rejection. This is so essential in any sales role. Um, As a salary, you get your teeth kicked in a lot and even the best sellers here now. Way more than they hear. Yes. And it's important to know. So get comfortable with rejection.
[00:01:09] Don't take it personal. Some people will be willing to talk to you. Some people will be willing to work with you. Some people will be willing to take a meeting and others won't and it has. Nothing to do with you or how you handle the situation it's really beyond your control. So the only thing that you can control is the process.
[00:01:28] You can not control the outcomes or the results. So get comfortable with rejection and being told no often. And you will, um, have much more success in sales because. Can't learn how to do that. It will be extremely challenging for you. All right. Number two, focus on the experience with your buyers. Okay.
[00:01:57] What I mean by this is there's something that you should know and it's that, you know, people typically remember a little bit about what you say. They remember a little bit about what you do, or maybe what you told them, but the one thing. That will always stand out, that they will not forget is how you made them feel.
[00:02:20] And so you want to make sure that you're delivering a good experience throughout the entire sales process, regardless of the outcome that starts even from a cold call. Like, you know, if there are you being a jerk on the phone, uh, are you, you know, really trying to pressure them and being a little bit too salesy, these are all things that are going to contribute to a bad experience.
[00:02:43] Um, so really focused. On nailing the experience in every interaction with your prospects, with your buyers throughout the entire sales process, and this will serve you extremely well. Um, and number three is learning how to work smarter, prioritizing revenue, generating activities, the things that are gonna help.
[00:03:08] Hit your quota, make your goal, hit your goals and have level of success. It's so easy to waste a ton of time on things that do not help you generate more revenue. And this is essential. And sometimes I can use. Off-track sometimes and spend too much time on things that are not revenue generating activities.
[00:03:30] So something you may have to constantly remind yourself, but it's extremely important. Make sure you're prioritizing your revenue, generating activities in any sales role that you have. All right. So if you enjoyed today's episode, please write a review, share the show with your. And I'm always listening for your feedback.
