Many sales sequences are generic and automated nowadays, which is fine but lacks the personal touch. Collin talks about how it's important to always allow manual tasks to be inserted in your sequence to promote better conversions by doing the hard work and not relying on automated templates to do it for you.

[00:00:24] All right. Welcome to another episode of sales transformation. Today's going to be a solo episode where I am going to be telling you how to increase conversion in your sequences. That's right. If you're a sales manager, sales leader, uh, this is something you may want to test and experiment for your team.
[00:00:44] If you are a individual contributor, SDR, BDR, a E there's, some fire that's going to be in here that you can implement into your sequences. So few things, um, to just jump right in here, a lot of sequences that sales organizations have are very generic. They don't leave a lot of room for creativity or, uh, you know, personalization or relevance or whatever the case is.
[00:01:12] Um, so. Number one, um, you know, your first touch is really, really, really important. And this is where you want to spend the most time. Um, really making those connections, entering that personalization and things like that. But that's not what we're going to dig in today. We're not going to dig into how to nail personalization or how to have them.
[00:01:33] Relevant email to get those replies. Uh, we're going to talk about how to Bray be more human in your sequences. And, uh, what this means is actually doing some things that are not. And cannot be scaled. All right. So sometimes to get better results, you need to do the non-scalable activities and a couple of things here.
[00:01:59] Um, that sort of happened when we started, uh, to shift some of our sequences and implement some of these things and see significant results. Um, number one, I had Michael Hanson on the podcast, if you did not, um, Listen to that episode, definitely go back. Cause there's lots of fire in there. Um, Michael Hanson is a co-founder over at growth genie.
[00:02:22] Um, they help teams with their sequences and they have a 30 step sequence, uh, playbook on their website, which, uh, kind of inspired some of the things. I've been experimenting with. Um, and he also drove tons of massive growth over at cloud task when he was over there. So highly recommend that episode also, um, been, been working really closely with our, um, get booked on podcast, master class sponsor, cloud lead, uh, and they've been able to really deliver some very interesting data.
[00:02:53] Um, there's lots of tools that you can use to get leads. Um, but if you really want to go. Deep on how to best approach each of your lists cloud lead can do some really interesting things where they can identify which people are, you know, more active on social. So your sequences can be, have more social touches.
[00:03:13] Uh, In the sequence. So if somebody is more active on social, they're more likely to POS to respond there. So you might have more LinkedIn touches, connections and messages involved in that sequence with that particular person. Um, and then there's people that are more likely to. Pick up the phone. And so in those types of people in that list, you want to have a sequence that is more phone heavy that's right.
[00:03:43] So you're going to have less emails, less social touch. You know, sprinkle some of those in there, but you're going to have a phone heavy sequence. And then there's some people that it's just not really able to identify if they are, maybe they're not active on social, they aren't really to pick up the phone.
[00:04:00] So that's where you're going to have more of a kind of even blended approach. Um, in those where you have, you know, multiple, multiple channels, multiple touches multiple times. And so those, those are kind of some, some key elements there. But the thing that I want to address here is how you can actually start to get more results in your sequences is by scheduling manual tasks.
[00:04:24] Now, whatever sequencing tool or software that you use should have. We personally use ample market in house and they have a feature where you can schedule manual tasks. Um, most tools out there have something like this. And so this is where you're going to send like a personalized video. This is we're going to send a custom email that has no template.
[00:04:44] Uh, this is where you're going to send a custom. You know, LinkedIn message or LinkedIn, you know, video in their DMS, or maybe even a hit them up on Instagram or Twitter or some other channel that maybe isn't as noisy. Um, so you know, every sequence that we've been building out and been having, you know, higher success rate in conversion, we're putting these males.
[00:05:06] Tasks in there. Um, and this allows to have more creativity in your outreach to bring more of yourself into what you do, rather than just relying on the template ID sequences that are provided to you. So I highly recommend leaving room for creativity and allowing your sellers to be more creative in the way that they reach out.
[00:05:30] And the simple way to do this is to. Layer in multiple manual tasks in your sequences that allow you to approach these, um, you know, each prospect in a unique way. And this is how you're going to start to see higher conversions, higher, positive replies in your sequences. So if you enjoyed today's episode, please.
