[00:00:24] Welcome to another episode of sales transforming. Today is a solo episode where I'm going to talk a little bit about taking ownership for yourself success. And now this applies. If you are a SDR, BDR, AAE, full cycle rep sales leader, doesn't matter what role you have. This is something that is going to be essential to being successful as either an individual contributor or a sales leader.
[00:00:52] And you got to take ownership for your own success. Don't wait. For somebody else or your [00:00:59] boss or your manager or your leader, or your org to roll out the red carpet for your success. You've got to seek help outside of your organization to really level up to guarantee that you get the success results that you're looking for.
[00:01:14] And that could look like a couple of things. Number one, my personal favorite, which I talk about all the time. Are you investing in yourself? Personally so that you can Excel professionally. So these are things like your mental health, your spirituality, your exercise, eating healthy, getting proper sleep.
[00:01:31] These are all things that are so important. Even just drinking enough water every day. These simple things of really investing in taking care of yourself are going to level up your performance professionally significantly. Okay. Now let's talk about leveling. Some of your professional skills, there's all types of options.
[00:01:50] Yes. You can go read books, you can do audio books, you can subscribe to blogs. You can attend all the webinars, [00:01:58] all of these things, but more than anything, I would recommend that you find the opportunity to really. Test your skills. Find some of your colleagues that are willing to role play with you that are willing to give you feedback on your scripts and your emails and help listen to your calls and you do the same for them.
[00:02:15] So find opportunities to review the things that you're doing and look for small gains on how you could get better or make adjustments to get. Results. This is going to be a huge one for you in regardless of what role you're in. Find somebody that you can team up with and you guys can help each other get better in your role now.
[00:02:37] Yes, you can also listen to podcasts. Podcasts are a great place to get new ideas, new perspectives, uh, find out what people are doing or what's working. What's not working highly recommend podcasts. Books, audio books, you know, there's courses that are affordable, but also one of the biggest things that you should look for is people on social media that are given [00:02:57] away a bunch of stuff for free.
[00:02:58] So there's tons of great sales influencers that are giving you all of their best recipes. All of the things that they've tested or seen that are working now, you've got to put those into action, just liking them and comment in them and giving them a thumbs up, but not actually testing them. Their self is pointless.
[00:03:13] So those things that you're consuming. Whether it's on social media, whether it's books, audio books, blogs, webinars, you name it. Put those things into action. All right. So here's some tips on how you can take ownership for your own success. It's it's so common that reps are waiting for their leader or their organization to give them the secret sauce or the silver bullet to success.
[00:03:41] And it doesn't exist if you want to do well in your role, you gotta take responsibility for that. If you're not getting the support inside of the organization that you're working at, then go outside of the organization to get what you need.
